So have been researching what it takes to install processors that still have the IHS still intact. However I am a little scared to de-lid my new (used) X5670's. I understand that the stock processors in that machine are de-lidded. After an eBay shopping spree the last couple of days, I've got a 2009 2.66ghz 8-core 16gb on the way.
