Like the armor in Nuclear Winter, this crafted gear requires legendary modules and is not tradable. All effects are possible except a few exceptions like cloaking and harder to detect. The crafted armor piece will always be a three-star legendary with randomly generated effects. Crafting these two armor types requires legendary modules in addition to normal crafting materials. This armor is also not able to be bought from or sold to other players or vendors. Non-legendary variants are not obtainable nor do these two armor types drop from Purveyor Murmrgh, events or legendary creatures. Solar and Thorn armor were introduced and are only able to be crafted as legendary at an armor workbench. With the release of the Nuclear Winter update, it was possible to craft gear from scratch as legendary for the first time. Legendary crafting, first introduced in the Nuclear Winter update and significantly expanded in the Wastelanders and Steel Reign updates, is a system for crafting or adding Fallout 76 legendary effects to weapons, armor, and power armor.
